Bhadrakali temple dedicated to the goddess and one of the oldest temples of Ahmedbad. Bhadrakali a fierce form of kali. It is among the four temples across India. The original temple was believe to be on the Manekchowk and later shifted to the fort area as per the instructions of a purohit of Azam khan, the then ruler. The Marathas in the Medieval period rebuilt it. The major festivals are the Navratras which is celebrated with grandeur and traditional dance and music. Hordes of devotees visit the temple during the Navratri days The major attraction is the daily 'shrungar' dressing of the deity and her different 'Savari'. The trader community worship her daily offering flowers as a mark of respect.
