Temple – Harsiddhi Ma
The Name of the temple literally stands for the happy Mother. This temple is situated on a hill called Koyla Dungar. The legend has that when lord Krishna wanted to defeat the Asuras and Jarasandha he built a temple on top of the hill facing the sea. On worshipping the goddess there and receiving the blessing Lord Krishna defeated the Asuras. The Yadavas were happy and celebrated the defeat of the Asuras and Jarasandha, giving the goddess the name of Harsiddhi Mata. She is the Kuldevi of many. The fishermen also worship her as their protector and caretaker of the seas.
