Narmada is one of the most sacred river and lifeline of human life since long time in India. Thus, Narmada river is as honored as the other sacred river like Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati etc and worshiped as Goddess. Bharuch city is located on the bank of river Narmada thus there are lots of Ghaat and temples where holy bath, rituals after death performed. Goddess Narmada temple is one of the oldest and popular temples in Dandia Bazar of Bharuch, around 150 years old. White colored wall, multiple Shikhara with old age architecture of this temple hold prominent importance in locals. There is a small pond behind the temple where it is believed to be the origin of goddess Narmada. It is also believed that holy dip in water here can purge one of sins and diseases.
