Temple – Neelkanth Mahadev
The temple is one of the very pious and important temples of the Hindu community situated in the dense forest. And surrounded by the Himalayas. By according to the legend, this is the place where the Lord Shiva had consumed the poison originated from the churning of the ocean, 'Samundrmanthan', by the Devas and the Asuras to obtain Amrit. The consuming of the poison caused the throat of Lord Shiva turning blue hence the name Neelkanth. Mahashivratri is one of the biggest festivals celebrated when many devotees flock the temple. Bael leaves are to the deity along with coconut, milk, and water.
