Temple – Shree Krishna Janmasthan
The temple is believed to be on the land where Lord Krishna was born. The temple and its significance dates back to the 6th century BC. The legend goes that the parents Devaki and Vasudeva were imprisoned by the lords Uncle Kansa. According to a prophecy, the 8th child born to them would be the reason for the evil Kana's death. Hence the cell where the lord was born is now worshiped by many devotees throughout the year. The Janmasthami being one of the biggest festivals. The temple was adorned with many riches but over the ages many plundered and looted the structure, to be rebuilt by the devotees again.
