Shree Maa Umiya is the Kuldevi of the Kadva Patidars. She is believed to be the creator of the universe and the goddess Laxmi, Saraswati, Maa Kali are none other but her incarnations. She is believed to be the protector of all. The legend has it, that the temple was constructed by Lord Shiva Himself. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt many times. King Vrajoal Singh constructed the temple in the 2nd century BC.
